| The Use of FAIMS to Separate Loperamide from PEG Prior to MS Analysis Using an LTQ XL Thermo Fisher Scientific
| | Published: November 2007 | Abstract: The study demonstrates the power of implementing FAIMS on ion traps in discovery phase analyses of drugs in the presence of an excess quantity of dosing vehicle. Removal of all PEG 600 components from the full scan including an isobaric interference at the nominal mass the analyte Loperamide was achieved using the size- and shape-based separation capabilities of the FAIMS device. The resulting freedom from full-scan chemical noise enabled data-dependant MSn analysis of the API. | | Length: 2 page-s | | Format: PDF | | Type: Application Note | | Click here to download |
